IK4-IDEKO at BIEMH - international machine tool exhibition

IDEKO presented their work on adaptive control and machining of gamma titanium alloys at the International Machine Tool Exhibition BIEMH.

The Elgoibar company have developed an adaptive system for controlling vibrations during machining. It uses in-built sensors to detect vibrations on machines, then uses an algorithm to automatically vary the cutting conditions and to adjust the adaptive damping. IK4-IDEKO were also able to show cutting tools designed for stable machining in fixed conditions and the variable dynamic tool and robot-assisted machining which they have developed in the project.
