Passive damping trials begin

FIDIA are ready to begin passive damping trials on the high speed milling machine being used in MMTECH. Before redesigning the system and filling it with an innovative low-weight polymeric concrete, they are carrying out vibration measurements of the existing structure.

MMTECH presented to AMRC partners

Dr Adrian Sharman presented early results from the MMTECH project to the industrial partners of the AMRC. These includes an assessment of early batches of powder from MBN and the results of some initial test-pieces made from the γTiAl powder.

MMTECH goes to Maltby Academy

MMTech went to a STEM event at Maltby Academy on Tuesday 8th November. Around 250 young people aged 12 - 16 visited our stand & learnt about our projects, including MMTECH. There will be another STEM event for younger children on 17th November in the Nuclear AMRC building.

Herringthorpe Junior School visit the AMRC
